1987. A brother and sister are brutally killed in a summer house in the north of Denmark. The evidence is not strong enough to prove the police theory that the murderer is to be found within a group of boarding school students. Twenty years later, Carl Morck and his assistant Assad stumble over the file documenting the murders.
